Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake Sets Up Shop by Terrence Nguyen, web editor Jul 2, 2004 12:00 PM Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC (BSFB) officially became operational yesterday, and is headquartered in Elyria, OH. Kishor Pendse was named president of the organization, with responsibility for its strategic leadership, including engineering, management and planning, business development, and product advancements. Prior to joining Bendix in September 2003, Pendse was vice president of Six Sigma at TRW, Inc. Pendse spent 20 years in various leadership positions in TRW’s automotive business. Separately, Pendse told Fleet Owner that product development will coordinate between two engineering and development centers— one provided by Bendix at BFSB headquarters and the other provided by Dana at an R&D center in Kalamazoo, MI. “We will use our existing engineers and as our air disc brakes ramp up, we’ll hire new engineers,” Pense said. Both engineering teams will work exclusively for BFSB and jointly on the same products, Pendse added. BFSB has made no comment on its marketing structure at this time. |
