Central Freight Lines Selects Linehaul Software Sean Kilcarr, senior editor May 15, 2001 12:00 PM Texas-based LTL carrier Central Freight Lines plans to implement Logistics.com’s strategic linehaul load and network planning technology, OptiYield SuperSpin. With 5,000 employees and 85 terminals serving the Southwest and West Coast, Central plans to use OptiYield SuperSpin to make optimal load plan changes and reduce costs while simultaneously improving customer service.
Joe Gentry, Central’s president, said the company plans to use OptiYield SuperSpin to increase load averages, reduce total miles and empty miles and eliminate unnecessary rehandling, saving the carrier money while improving service.
