Cummins to open QuickServe to owner-operators

Engine maker Cummins Inc. will open its QuickServe Internet site, which offers access to parts and service information, to owner-operators later this year.
Cummins said the site allows customers access to real-time, daily updated parts and service information faster and easier than via catalogs or CDs.
Using an engine's serial number, QuickServe can sort through eight million Cummins engines and a million documents to find a variety of information.
