Diagnostic software for Allisons

Apr 1, 2003 12:00 PM

Allison Transmission has released PC-based diagnostic software for their light- and heavy-duty on-road automatic transmissions, as well as a Palm-OS PDA (personal digital assistant) version for its 1000/2000 Series transmissions.

Allison DOC for Fleets (WETC) provides diagnostic tools for the company's MD 3000 Series, HD 4000 Series and B Series automatic transmissions. A second application, Allison DOC for Fleets (1000/2000 Series), covers the company's 1000, 2000 and 2400 automatics.

Both PC-based applications feature a Windows style interface, access to all diagnostic trouble codes, automated updates over the Web, integrated help and a demo mode for training. They are available for Windows NT/2000 and Windows 95 or higher, and require a Pentium II processor or higher. They can be obtained through SPX/Kent Moore distributors.

Allison DOC for PDA (1000/2000 Series) allows technicians to access and save transmission diagnostic data from Allison light-duty automatics with a Palm handheld unit. Snapshot files obtained with the Palm can be emailed to a PC where they can be used in conjunction with Allison DOC for Fleets (1000/2000). The application runs on Palm 3.5 or higher OS.
