Diesel Up 1.8 Cents

According to the Dept of Energy, diesel prices rose last week 1.8 cents to $1.763 per gallon, a penny shy of tying a record high that was set March 10, 2003.

California received a welcome 1.6-cent drop, although California prices remain the most expensive in the nation, at $2.34 per gallon. The West Coast also received a 0.5-cent drop to $2.25 per gallon. The Lower Atlantic region has the nation’s cheapest diesel, at $1.652 per gallon. The steepest hike came in New England, up 3.6 cents to $1.804 per gallon.
