Jun 16, 2004 12:00 PM
Last week diesel prices fell for the fourth straight week in a row,
down 2.3 cents to a national average of $1.711 per gallon, according to
the U.S. Department of Energy. Significant drops in the West largely
drove the decline, although all regions posted falling prices.
California posted the largest decrease at seven cents to $2.051 per
gallon. West Coast prices fell below the two-dollar mark for the first
time in 10 weeks, falling 6.5 cents to $1.998. New England prices had
the smallest decline, falling 0.6 cents to $1.81. The Lower Atlantic
region posted the cheapest prices at $1.636.
