Diesel Rises 0.4 Cents

Jul 20, 2004 12:00 PM

Last week, national diesel prices ticked up 0.4 cents to $1.744 per gallon. This upswing in pump prices has moderated significantly from last week’s 2.4-cent jump.

The historically priciest state to buy diesel— California— actually posted the sharpest price decline of 1.7 cents to $2.096 per gallon. California remains the most expensive region to fill up.

The New England and Central Atlantic regions tied for posting the steepest rise, up 1 cent to $1.822 and $1.820, respectively. The Gulf Coast is the chespest region to fill up at $1.674.
