Fontaine named International's fifth wheel By Tim Parry Feb 13, 2003 12:00 PM International Truck and Engine Corp. has announced an agreement with Fontaine International to make it the exclusive supplier of factory-installed fifth wheels for International heavy-duty, severe service and medium-duty tractors. "Combining engineering expertise from both companies means International truck owners can count on increased quality, durability and more reliable products," said Steve Keate, president of International's truck group.
International said Fontaine is the only fifth wheel supplier that offers customers a choice of cast or pressed steel top plates as well as the proprietary patented No-Slack II locking technology. Fontaine fifth wheels are available on International tractors in the 4000, 5000i, 7000, 8000 and 9000i Series.
