Aug 18, 2003 12:00 PM

Peterbilt Motors Co. has announced that Caterpillar's ACERT-technology engines can now be spec'd in Peterbilt trucks and tractors.

The Caterpillar C15 engine can be ordered for Peterbilt Models 379, 387, 385, 378 and 357. The Caterpillar C7 can be ordered for Peterbilt's medium-duty Model 330 and low-cab-forward Model 320.

Limited production of vehicles spec'd with the new engines is under way, with full production expected by the fourth quarter, Peterbilt general manager Nick Panza said.
