Praxair gets Eagle Eye Obstacle Detection units By Tim Parry Jul 19, 2002 12:00 PM Industrial gas hauler Praxair Inc. has purchased 50 Eagle Eye Obstacle Detection systems from Transportation Safety Technologies (TST) for backup detection use on its new cylinder delivery trucks. After extensive testing and evaluation throughout the United States, Praxair determined that the Eagle Eye system could greatly reduce backing accidents.
This system alerts a driver to any object within 10 feet of his vehicle to help avoid colliding with it.
