Qualcomm has announced an agreement with United Rentals Inc. to deploy Qualcomm OmniTRACS and OmniExpress mobile communications system on its fleet of up to 10,000 delivery, service, sales and highway-technology vehicles.

"We have selected Qualcomm because of their long-standing track record for product quality and reliability," said United Rentals president John Milne. "It is another step in our commitment to provide the best possible service to our customers, while contributing to profitable growth across all our operations."

United Rentals is the largest equipment rental company in North America, with more than 740 locations in 47 states, seven Canadian provinces, and Mexico.
