TransCore, a load-matching service provider, has launched a service for carriers to market their services to brokers, shippers and third-party logistics providers via an online database. TransCore Registry is a free carrier service to store background and insurance information in a directory for potential clients to browse.

The database stores a variety of carrier information, including company profiles, financial data, fleet composition, lanes of operation and special services.

“TransCore Registry levels the playing field for carriers by offering them a free-of-charge opportunity to get in front of a large market of potential clients. During the summer months, approximately half a million loads per day are available on our network, so this service will increase efficiency and make the best possible matches between brokers and carriers,” said Don Thornton, vp of TransCore freight business services.
