Waste collection and removal company Republic Services Inc. has deployed Arsenault Associates' Dossier32 maintenance management software as its program of choice to manage and control the maintenance and operating costs for its national fleet of more than 6,500 units.

Some of the goals of deploying the Dossier program include allowing Republic to perform fleet-wide real time cost analysis, measure equipment performance, control and reduce maintenance expenses, ensure manufacturer warranty compliance, track equipment utilization and fuel consumption, monitor vendors and automate parts quantity order points to maintain proper inventory levels.

Deployed incrementally to all Republic locations, full implementation of the system is anticipated by mid 2003. With nearly 40 locations already operating the program, Republic plans to bring it to 150 hauling operations by the end of 2002, to be followed by 54 landfill and 50 transfer locations in early 2003.

"We are honored to be selected as the fleet maintenance software provider of choice by Republic Service Inc.," said Charles Arsenault, president of Arsenault Associates. "It's exciting to work on projects that are national in scope like this, and to produce meaningful results for the client on time and on budget."
