Diesel falls 2.3 cents to $1.934

The national average price for a gallon of diesel fell 2.3 cents to $1.934 last week, according to the Energy Information Administration. Diesel prices have steadily been receding from October’s high of $2.212, with just a single upswing posted within the past 12 weeks.

All regions averaged a decline in prices, with the smallest being in the Gulf Coast, down 1.1 cents to $1.876. The Gulf Coast also averaged the cheapest diesel in the nation. The largest decrease was posted in the Rocky Mountain region, down 5.7 cents to $1.877. New England is the most expensive region to fill up in, at $2.163.
