Diesel rises 4.6 cents

The national average price for a gallon of diesel increased 4.6 cents to $2.552 for the week ending November 13, according to the Energy Information Administration. That marked a 5-cent decrease compared to the same week last year.

The most dramatic increase was seen in the Midwest, where prices rose 6.9 cents to $2.562. Prices rose in all regions but the steadiest in New England, increasing only 0.3-cents to $2.616. The most expensive region in which to fill up was in California at $2.677 after a 4-cent increase. The cheapest diesel could be found in the Gulf Coast at $2.470 after a 2.1-cent increase.
