The Highway Watch program’s Highway Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) is soliciting help from the trucking and law enforcement community to help identify and locate a person believed to be connected with several suspicious incidents involving tank trucks in the southeastern U.S.

In a press release issued today, the group refers to three separate reports of an individual asking tank-truck drivers questions about deliveries and operations. The person was also said to have videotaped tank truck operations and deliveries, and taken photographs of tanker equipment.

Under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security, Highway Watch trains highway professionals to identify and report safety and security issues. Transportation security experts analyze reports collected by Highway ISAC.

“The Highway ISAC is working with the Southwest Florida Terrorism Task Force to help resolve the situation as soon as possible,” said Don. L. Rondeau, Highway ISAC director.
