LAS VEGAS. Peterbilt Motors Co. unveiled two new options here at the ConExpo-Con/Agg show for its Model 357 chassis – a 115-in. BBC set-back front axle configuration designed for concrete mixers and a heavy-haul configuration equipped with a high-capacity cooling system and 625-hp C-15 Caterpillar engine option.

The 115-in. BBC set-back front axle configuration improves front axle weight distribution to allow for higher payloads along with better maneuverability. It also features a sloped hood and lower crown and grille to improve forward visibility and ground clearance, along with new doors that offer 17% more side visibility.

The heavy-haul configuration features a 1,440-sq.-in. radiator core to provide greater cooling for heavy-duty work applications such as dump, logging, oilfield, and snowplow operations. It has a 119-in. BBC as well as a set-back front axle and is available in both tractor and truck configurations.
