Rebuilt TA open in Connecticut

Aug 31, 2006 3:00 PM

TravelCenters of America (TA) recently rebuilt its travel center in New Haven, CT, located on I-95 at Exit 56.

The contemporary design includes a 35-ft.-tall pylon with the TA logo, accented by a red neon arch and "Welcome" sign. The exterior also features upgraded lighting, improved parking lots and a new motorist entrance.

The TA New Haven site offers a food court with seating for 75, where customers can choose between Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits and Subway sandwiches. Starbucks, the nation's largest coffee retailer, is scheduled to open at the site in mid-September. In addition, a 3,400 sq.-ft. travel store offers a wide selection of beverages, snacks and travel products.

It also features a two-bay truck service center that is open 24/7 and staffed by ASE-certified technicians. Other conveniences include six diesel dispensers, 100-space truck parking area, emergency road service, a lounge area with game room and seven marble-tiled showers. The facility is also WiFi-enabled throughout the property.
