Sound off on EOBRs

Mar 1, 2007 11:31 AM

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is seeking feedback on the proposed electronic on-board recorder (EOBR) rule it issued on January 18 VIA a public listening session on March 12 at DOT Headquarters in Washington DC.

FMCSA proposed to mandate that motor carriers with bad safety records be required to use EOBRs, with incentives for carriers with adequate safety records.

All oral comments will be transcribed by the agency. Individuals who wish to make a formal presentation should contact Deborah Freund at 202-366-4009 or email her at Deborah.freund@dot.gov

The meeting will be held in Room 2230, Nassif Building, DOT Headquarters, 400 Seventh St., SW from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

For more information, go to the Federal Register.
