Utah gets PrePass

Dec 19, 2005 4:46 PM

The state of Utah will deploy PrePass at all major weigh stations during the first quarter of 2006. PrePass allows motor carriers to comply with state weight, safety and credential requirements at weigh stations and ports of entry while traveling at highway speeds.

UDOT’s Perry inspection facilities on I-15 are expected to be equipped and operational by January. Other inspection facilities slated to be equipped are east- and westbound I-80 at Wendover, southbound I-15 at Echo, and northbound at St. George.

Currently over 350,000 commercial vehicles use PrePass in the U.S.
