The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) said it has filed a class action lawsuit against Allied Holdings and its subsidiaries for alleged violations of federal leasing regulations.
A complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against Decatur, GA-based Allied, Allied Automotive Group and Allied Systems Ltd.
OOIDA said Allied has been violating the federal truth-in-leasing regulations by its failure to include certain provisions in its lease agreements that are required, while incorporating other provisions that conflict with the regulations.
